Rove McManus: Making It Possible

Rove McManus: Making It Possible

Rove McManus started his entertainment career as a stand up comedian but has gone on to become Australia's most successful talk show host and one of its biggest producers of entertainment television.

Rove hit primetime with his own show Rove (naturally), and it has been onwards and upwards since then. His production company is behind some of the most popular shows on Australian TV; he still fronts his own talk show (Rove LA); and has become a regular on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, presenting his 'Rove Across America' segment.

With three Gold Logies under his belt, Rove is proof that nice guys don't always finish last!

Rove has met and interviewed some of the biggest names in Hollywood. Now he is shining the spotlight on animals in need.

For years, factory farmed chickens and pigs have been denied a voice which is why Rove McManus has joined with other Make it Possible supporters to plead on their behalf for a kinder world.

It is a sad fact that if factory-farmed animals could communicate in our language and tell us of their suffering — that this cruelty would have ended long ago. Politicians and producers could not have ignored them. But they shouldn't need to tell us. Caging a bird so that it cannot flap its wings is clearly wrong. Confining mother pigs so that they can barely move, and have only a concrete or metal floor to give birth to her babies on is obviously cruel.

The cruelty of factory farming has only continued because the spotlight has not fallen on it — because the average caring person in the community has been completely unaware of what has gone on behind their high walls and closed doors. These animals cannot plead their own case for a kinder world — but we can demand one on their behalf.

You don't need be a famous celeb like Rove to help animals stuck in factory farms. By making kind choices at meal times, you're sending a clear message that animal abuse in factory farms is not on. And in the animals' eyes, you'll be a star.
