Mick Molloy: Making it Possible

Mick Molloy: Making it Possible

Mick Molloy is one of Australia's most recognised comedians. An actor, writer and producer, Mick combines the scruffy appeal of a laid back larrikin and the acid tongue of the world's toughest critic. This combination has proved successful both in terms of Mick's significant box office appeal as a writer/performer and in relation to the accolades he has received within the industry.

He made lawn-bowls cool again with his starring role in Crackerjack, and followed that up with turns in Bad Eggs and BoyTown.

Currently Mick is co-hosting Network 10's successful AFL show Before The Game, and Melbourne's Triple M Breakfast Show The Hot Breakfast, as well as regularly touring his stand up act.

As a lifelong Richmond Tigers supporter, Mick is used to supporting the underdog. There are not many underdogs who face bigger challenges than animals stuck on factory farms — so it's no wonder Mick is passionately behind Make it Possible.

While all who follow AFL know that a heart of a tiger beats within Mick, it was vision of mother pigs confined barely able move in factory farms, that brought a glint of a tear to the eye of one of Australia's most loved comics. The news that piglets whilst still babies have they their sensitive tails clipped, their teeth cut and the males can be castrated — all without any type of pain relief — was impossible for Mick to fathom.

In hearing that the answer is that — "Most people just don't know" — Mick has enthusiastically become an ambassador for Make it Possible, so that all caring Australians have the opportunity to say "No" to animal cruelty by making informed and kind choices when they shop.
